When you joined the Poultry Auction Committee I sensed you were a special lady. What I didn't realize was just how wonderful and how special you really are. You are very unselfish and giving to others. You are always there to help. When I witness the love you have with your family I think to myself that if only more people had the love that your family has, they wouldn't have time for hate and anger.

When we had the opportunity to witness the Master's Golf Tournament, I knew it would be the thrill of a lifetime, but what I didn't realize is how much fun it would be with having you join in the experience with me. It was such a thrill that you can't know how much I enjoyed it.  Before we made it home however, I felt so bad because of your illness. To end such a joyous trip with you feeling so very, very bad made me so sad.  I will never forget!!

Love, what a wonderful thing it is to be in love! There are so many forms of love and I know you now have someone that fills your heart with so much joy and gladness.  You deserve all the joy and love the world has to give and I know you will always have my love. I love the way you and I feel about our friendship and you will always have me there to help you in any way that I can. I pray that, someday, I will have someone like you for my very own.

A Note to My Beautiful Daughter

As I think back to the day you were born I get this feeling in my heart that is hard to describe. It's like a swelling of emotion which includes joy, pride and Love that is so great.  I know I was given a gift from God again. When I brought you home from the hospital, I brought Kellie a baby doll.  Together we took care of our babies. Eventually Kellie began to take care of you more and more. Watching you two has always been a highlight of my life. Krista, the thing I am the most proud of about you is that you are a beautiful person inside and out. I've watched you dance, cheer, play, share, laugh and cry and give yourself selflessly to others.

I know every Mother loves her children unconditionally as I do....I however, have been blessed with daughters that give that back.  You are remarkable in many ways. Recently, You and Kellie and Gabby came to visit.  We had such a great time and what's really priceless to me is that you take the time to share your lives with me. I thank God for my family, I thank God for you and I thank you for being you.

A "BIG" part of your young life revolved around dance.  You and Kellie are very talented !!!  You first started dancing at the YMCA when you were only three years old.  Every year you both performed in the recitals and always looked forward to the next dance class.  You moved on to gymnastics and cheer-leading.
Watching you girls... not only dancing together but loving each other has ALWAYS touched my heart !!
Recently you and Kel were at my house and started making up a routine as a joke for a friend...sooo funny!

Love the Birthday !!!

Birthdays are always a very special event at our house.  Every Birthday is considered "Your" Day.
I used to wake you up every Birthday with the Happy Birthday song and a doughnut with a candle in it.  Then you would get to spend the day celebrating and finish with whatever you wanted for dinner.  For the past several years it has been Chicken Fried Venison and mashed potatoes :-)

Favorite Memories

Dear Krista,

One of my favorite memories of you is when I let you and Kellie drive the car around the resort at Lake Livingston.   I’m thinking you couldn’t have been more than 12 years old! You couldn’t reach the pedals but you did a great job steering the car!  I don’t think your Grandmother appreciated it very much but we sure had a great time! Sunday Football

This is probably my most vivid memory of living in Grand Prairie.  This represents only one Sunday of probably every Sunday that season that we did this.  Sneaking in mom and dad's closet at the beginning of the game trying to be quite yet snickering so loud I'm sure they heard.  Carefully putting both our legs in one of dad's jean pantlegs and spending the next three quarters walking down the short hallway still trying to be quiet.  Amazing how we have managed to grow a succesful business, yet we never thought to wait til we got to the end of the hall to put the jeans on!!  And every week was funnier than the last when we would hobble into the living room and mom and dad would act like they'd never seen such silly little girls!  I look forward to our children making fun memories like these one day and to us making many more as we continue to be just a couple silly sisters when we get together (Hawaii elevator for example)!!
